Battery products and manufacturing processes continue to generate information after release. YC uses measured production results, nonconformities, test findings and customer feedback to define problems clearly, investigate causes, verify actions and feed proven learning back into controlled engineering and quality records.

Diagnose & measure
Improvement starts by defining the observed condition, affected configuration and business or technical impact. YC gathers available production, inspection, test and field information, then separates facts from assumptions. The team considers frequency, location, operating conditions, material lots, process history, firmware or settings and comparison samples where relevant. Clear measurement and containment criteria help avoid changing several variables at once. The objective is a reliable problem statement and evidence base, not an unsupported headline metric.
Root cause & action
Investigation follows the evidence across design, materials, process, test methods and application conditions. Tools such as 5 Why, cause-and-effect analysis and FMEA may be used to structure questions, while the specific method depends on issue complexity. Corrective and preventive actions can involve specifications, component controls, assembly methods, inspection, software parameters, supplier communication or user guidance. Owners and implementation conditions are documented so actions address verified causes and related risks rather than only the visible symptom.
Validate & standardize
Actions are checked against defined acceptance criteria using appropriate builds, inspections, tests or monitored production evidence. YC reviews whether the original issue is controlled and whether the change creates new electrical, thermal, mechanical, software, quality or compliance risks. Once effectiveness is supported, relevant drawings, specifications, work instructions, control plans, FMEA records and training inputs are updated through change control. This closes the loop and makes the learning available to future production and related designs.
